John 14:16-17

16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever—  17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.

 

You can’t celebrate St. Patrick’s Day as a Christian without being contemplating the trinity.

For Christians St.Patrick’s Day is as much a part of the celebration as green water in Chicago, green beer in New York and green air in Seoul (just kidding about the last one, sort of).

Today H&D is focusing on St. Patrick and the message of the trinity and today’s verse is one of the clearest indications that there is a trinity. While the word itself is never used in the Bible, it is ever no matter how unseen.
